Green-e Energy seeks feedback on the Green-e Energy International Framework Criteria for Renewable Energy Certification (Framework) and is accepting feedback from all interested stakeholders through 11:59pm Pacific Daylight Saving Time on Monday, August 29, 2016. The Framework will be used to develop high-quality renewable energy standards for Green-e Energy certification, in order to accelerate the development of renewable generation and renewable electricity markets, and provide consumers a meaningful mechanism through which they can express demand for renewable electricity.

To comment, take the survey at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K5X6KKL or email written comments to: comments@green-e.org. Prior to commenting, you may download and review a PDF of all survey questions.

Feedback is requested on the Framework overall as well as any specific topics of interest, including:

  • Interaction of renewable energy purchasing and carbon policies
  • Environmental sustainability criteria for renewable resource types
  • Use of renewable energy tracking systems
  • Renewable electricity that is produced beyond relevant mandates
  • Support for new and upgraded renewable electricity generators
  • Use of on-site generators

Stakeholder comments are due by 11:59pm Pacific Time on Monday, August 29, 2016. CRS may conduct a second comment period, incorporating feedback from this first comment period.

The current Framework, in English with translations in Arabic, Chinese and Spanish, and a PDF of all survey questions are available at the Green-e Energy International Framework Criteria page for you to view before submitting comments.

If you choose to take the survey rather than providing written comments, the time needed to complete the survey will depend on which questions you answer and the detail of your responses. If you need to pause while taking the survey (for example, to look up information), you may resume it at any time prior to 11:59pm Pacific Time on Monday, August 29, by using the link that directed you there initially, provided you do so from the same computer and browser. You may also go back and change your answers at any time prior to clicking “Finish and Submit Responses” at the end of the survey.

To take the survey go to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K5X6KKL. Or, email written comments to: comments@green-e.org

About the Green-e Energy International Framework Criteria for Renewable Energy Certification
The Green-e Energy International Framework Criteria for Renewable Energy Certification (Framework) provides Green-e Energy’s common core technical requirements for certification of renewable electricity sales and consumption. While the Framework is not a certification standard itself, the requirements in the Framework are used to develop Green-e Energy certification standards that are specific to different countries or regions of the world, through interaction and consultation with stakeholders. In this way, electricity users can purchase and support renewables wherever a regional certification standard has been developed, and such high-quality renewable energy standards and certification may accelerate the development of renewable generation and renewable electricity markets.
