If you’ve never been to a conference for designers, you’ll find out two things quickly: they are an affable and thoughtful bunch and have a voracious appetite for free Sharpies. The other thing that we discovered is that they are very supportive of Green-e and our efforts to promote renewable energy in the paper and printing industry. From June 21-23, Green-e exhibited at the HOW Design Live 2013 conference in San Francisco and talked with hundreds of graphic designers eager to support the Green-e re:print program. It helped that many of our Green-e participants were there as well to discuss their products and sustainability efforts, including: Mohawk, Monadnock, Sappi, Neenah, Appleton Coated, New Leaf Paper, and Greenerprinter. We are eager to continue our conversations with the printing and graphic design community in an effort to promote adoption of our Green-e re:print program in the year ahead.
