For more than two decades, Renewable Energy Markets has been the leading forum for the clean energy marketplace. Attracting participants from around the globe who share an interest in and commitment to promoting clean energy, REM remains the only conference of its kind focusing on national and international markets for renewable energy. This annual meeting of clean energy stakeholders includes generators, marketers, utility representatives, purchasers, policymakers, and regional stakeholders, and sets the agenda for the year to come. Registration and the Call for Abstracts are open, visit <a href="http://www.renewableenergymarkets.com">the website</a> for more information on speaking, sponsorship, and Early Bird registration. <br /><br /> <!-- Bulletproof Button : BEGIN --> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" class="button"> <tr> <td style="border-radius: 3px;background-color: #454b4e;text-align: center"> <a href="http://renewableenergymarkets.com/register" style="padding: 15px 20px;text-decoration:none;font-size:12px;line-height: 1;color:#ffffff;font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif"><strong><!--[if mso]> <![endif]-->REGISTER NOW<!--[if mso]> <![endif]--></strong></a> </a> </td> </tr> </table> <!-- Bulletproof Button : END --> </td> </tr> </table> </td> <td valign="middle" class="hh-force-col-center"> <!--<img src="http://www.resource-solutions.org/images/releases/2015/Green-e-Direct-NS-Graphic.png" alt="email wireframe" width="250" border="0" style="margin: auto" class="hh-fluid">--> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <!-- Two Columns, One Column Without Padding ==> Stacked Layout : END --> <!-- Two Columns, One Column Without Padding ==> Stacked Layout : BEGIN --> <tr> <td style="background: #ebf0f1"> <table border="0" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center" class="fluid"> <tr> <td valign="top" class="hh-force-col"> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"> <tr> <td style="padding: 30px;font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;color: #67655f;font-size: 14px;line-height: 21px" width="100%"> <strong style="font-size: 12px;line-height: 2;letter-spacing: .15em;color: #b4c1c8" class="hh-center">MARKET DEVELOPMENT</strong><br /> <a name="3"></a><strong style="font-size: 18px;line-height: 1;letter-spacing: .05em" class="hh-center">Center For Resource Solutions And Google Partner To Advance Asian Renewable Energy Markets</strong> <br /><br /> <img src="https://resource-solutions.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/050516-Taipei-Low.jpg" alt="image" border="1" align="left" width="200">Last month we were <a href="http://resource-solutions.org/press-releases/040616/">excited to announce</a> that CRS received a seed grant from Google to lay groundwork for voluntary renewable energy development and stakeholder engagement in Asia, beginning with Taiwan. The Green-e Energy Residual Mix Emissions Rates are calculated by taking the known emissions rates from electricity generation in each NERC region and removing the emissions benefits of Green-e certified renewable energy purchases. The resulting "residual mix" emissions rate more accurately reflects average grid emissions and helps ensure that the emissions benefits of Green-e certified transactions are not double counted. The residual mix emissions rates can be used by organizations in calculating the emissions footprint associated with their purchased grid electricity (Scope 2 emissions).<br /><br /> <!-- Bulletproof Button : BEGIN --> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" class="button"> <tr> <td style="border-radius: 3px;background-color: #454b4e;text-align: center"> <a href="http://www.green-e.org/docs/energy/Residual%20Mix%202016.pdf" style="padding: 15px 20px;text-decoration:none;font-size:12px;line-height: 1;color:#ffffff;font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif"><strong><!--[if mso]> <![endif]-->DOWNLOAD<!--[if mso]> <![endif]--></strong></a> </a> </td> </tr> </table> <!-- Bulletproof Button : END --> </td> </tr> </table> </td> <td valign="middle" class="hh-force-col-center"> <!--<img src="http://www.resource-solutions.org/images/releases/2015/Green-e-Direct-NS-Graphic.png" alt="email wireframe" width="250" border="0" style="margin: auto" class="hh-fluid">--> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <!-- Two Columns, One Column Without Padding ==> Stacked Layout : END --> <!-- Two Columns, One Column Without Padding ==> Stacked Layout : BEGIN --> <tr> <td style="background: #ebf0f1"> <table border="0" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center" class="fluid"> <tr> <td valign="top" class="hh-force-col"> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"> <tr> <td style="padding: 30px;font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;color: #67655f;font-size: 14px;line-height: 21px"> <strong style="font-size: 12px;line-height: 2;letter-spacing: .15em;color: #b4c1c8" class="hh-center">CONFERENCES</strong><br /> <a name="5"></a><strong style="font-size: 18px;line-height: 1;letter-spacing: .05em" class="hh-center">CRS Participates in Fiscal Instruments for Emissions Reductions: A Dialogue on International Experiences</strong><br /><br /> <img src="https://resource-solutions.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/JM_Mexico_panel.jpg" alt="image" border="1" width="250" align="left"> CRS Executive Director Jennifer Martin was an invited speaker at <a href="http://climate.blue/dialogo-internacional-instrumentos-fiscales-para-la-reduccion-de-emisiones/"><em>Instrumentos Fiscales para la Reducción de Emisiones: Diálogo con Expertos Internacionales</em></a>, a two-day workshop</a> in Mexico City in February organized by the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH commissioned by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety of Germany.
