Peggy Kellen

Senior Director, Policy and Market Development

Peggy Kellen directs Center for Resource Solutions’ regulatory and voluntary policy engagement, expert assistance services, and the Clean Energy Accounting Project. She is a dedicated thought leader with over 15 years of experience designing sustainable energy and corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting policies across sectors including electric power, water, transportation, oil and gas, and local governments. Peggy is recognized as a leader in GHG accounting and has advised on the GHG reporting and verification requirements for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB), and others.

Previously, Peggy directed The Climate Registry’s carbon footprint reporting and verification policies, promoted national residential energy efficiency campaigns for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, supported U.S. EPA’s ENERGY STAR Homes program and developed congressional guidance reports on key energy issues for the Consumer Energy Council of America. Peggy has a M.A. in Energy and Environmental Analysis from Boston University and a B.A. in Cinema-Television from the University of Southern California.
