CETC aims to foster a dynamic and inclusive forum for sharing important insights and practical solutions.

CETC is a program administered by CRS, led by Advisors, and grounded by Government and Tracking System Participants on interconnected committees—each have their own unique role and purpose in CETC process.

Technical Working Group (TWG)

The TWG serves as CETC’s engine for change, serving as a forum for structured in depth discussion on a specific topic pertaining to tracking system functionality. CRS uses TWG meetings to gather perspectives and opinions that are ultimately used to develop guidance for essential functionality.

TWGs meet monthly and are made up of an array of industry actors, market players, and tracking systems. Participation in the TWG is available to members of all other committees.

Advisory Committee

Advisors help shape the long-term direction of CETC by ensuring that CETC’s work reflects market needs, policy developments, and opportunities for innovation across registries and tracking systems. Advisors prioritize topics, serve as final reviewers of guidance and written materials, and help guide CETCs future and ongoing work.

Tracking Committee

The Tracking Committee provides a forum for tracking systems to engage with CETC, exchange information, share perspectives, and discuss priorities, challenges and opportunities for coordination.

Government Committee

The Government Committee provides a forum for members to share public priorities and perspectives, review deliverables, and provide input on draft recommendations and future topic priorities. It is exclusive to Energy Offices, Air Regulators, PUCs, and other government agencies.
