Clean Energy Tracking Collaborative

The Clean Energy Tracking Collaborative (CETC, “set-see”) supports the evolution and expansion of energy tracking systems. These systems will play a critical role in the transition to a clean energy economy.

As the clean energy landscape continues to develop, CETC works collaboratively with government and regulatory bodies, tracking systems, and industry to identify and align emerging energy tracking functionalities and data needs.

CETC addresses the evolving landscape of clean energy tracking through collaborative, stakeholder-driven action.

CETC’s outcomes will be facilitated through technical working groups, which will define recommendations, develop guidance, and produce implementable tools to enhance tracking system data and capabilities.

Objectives

CETC’s objectives include fostering dialogue between regulators, tracking systems, and key stakeholders; developing functionality, technical, and procedural recommendations; and providing technical support for implementation. Participants have opportunities to join committee, working group, and stakeholder discussions; contribute expertise; review guidance; and promote outcomes.

Opportunities for Participants

Stakeholders engaging with CETC have the ability to participate in discussions for the Advisory Committee, Regulator Advisory Committee, stakeholder groups, and technical working groups as applicable. They can contribute strategic insights and review recommendations. They are also able to promote activities and outcomes within their networks. Stakeholders who can most benefit from engagement include:

  • Energy tracking systems and operators
  • Government, energy regulatory agencies, and air regulators
  • Corporate renewable energy buyers
  • Electric service providers/utilities
  • Clean hydrogen and clean fuel producers
  • Brokers, marketers, and exchanges
  • Environmental nonprofit organizations
  • Electric facility owners/operators and developers
  • Technology and software providers
  • Qualified reporting entities
  • Electric grid operators

About The Clean Energy Tracking Collaborative (CETC)

The Clean Energy Tracking Collaborative (CETC), a program of the nonprofit Center for Resource Solutions (CRS), supports the evolution of the energy tracking systems that are essential to the clean-energy transition. CETC provides a forum for regulators, government agencies, industry leaders, and tracking system operators to work together to identify essential tracking needs and functionalities. By aligning these priorities, CETC helps improve data management, increase transparency, and support technical implementation. Its work is carried out through technical working groups that develop consensus-based recommendations and guidance.

CETC welcomes new collaborators and partners. To learn more or get involved, contact us at cetc@resource-solutions.org.
